Chapter One Hundred: "A Chance Encounter"

“We can go to the human amusement park tomorrow?!”
When they returned to the dormitory and heard Qin Fei’s arrangements, Dilu Beast and Black Dorulu Beast cheered happily.

“But you can only stay inside the Digivice and watch. Otherwise, you’ll cause a stir.”

“Huh?”

Hearing this, Dilu Beast and Black Dorulu Beast immediately looked crestfallen. They hadn’t expected that, in the end, they would only be able to peek at the outside world through the Digivice, just to satisfy their curiosity.

Qin Fei stroked Black Dorulu Beast’s pointed ear apologetically. He felt guilty, but Black Dorulu Beast understood his difficulty and simply lay quietly on the bed, saying nothing more.

She didn’t want that. But if she refused to evolve, she’d never catch up to Loretta Beast or even Black Dorulu Beast.

Although she and Loretta Beast didn’t get along, there was one thing about Loretta Beast that Dilu Beast admired and envied deeply.

She could transform into a human form, stay by Qin Fei’s side as a human—something Dilu Beast longed for but couldn’t have.

“In the future… I must evolve into a form close to a human!”

Watching Qin Fei comfort Black Dorulu Beast, Dilu Beast made a firm vow to herself.

“Huff, huff… Captain Samo, I’d like to request half a day off today.”

Inside the training room, Qin Fei, panting and drenched in sweat, spoke to the tall man before him.

He had just thrown ten thousand punches—a feat hard even for grown men—but with the boost from the Digimon soul, Qin Fei had finished in just half a day.

“Granted, but you must carry DATS equipment and stay in contact at all times,” Samo said, taking off his slightly dented focus mitt and nodding.

“Yes, I will,” Qin Fei replied with joy. He could finally plan tonight’s outing.

Actually, besides preparing for the Digimon that would appear at the amusement park tonight, Qin Fei genuinely wanted to take Lolo and the others out for some fun.

They had spent enough time cooped up in the DATS dormitory and Digivice. It was time to ease their spirits.

Especially Loretta Beast—tonight’s battle would let her vent her thirst for combat.

“Bomb Abel Beast…”

Recalling the Digimon that would appear at the amusement park tonight, Qin Fei muttered as he left the training room in anticipation.

“Qin Fei!”

Back at the dormitory, the beast tamers cheered when Qin Fei returned.

Seeing their eager faces, Qin Fei hurriedly showered and changed into fresh clothes. With their urging, he set out with them.

Fortunately, the amusement park wasn’t far; less than an hour by bus brought them to their destination.

Just as Qin Fei was wondering whether to take them to the Ferris wheel first, Lolo’s surprised voice rang out.

Qin Fei snapped out of his thoughts and followed her gaze.

He saw Thomas, and beside him was a beautiful young mother and daughter, seemingly on good terms.

“Huh, I never expected Thomas to have this side to him.”

Lolo sized Thomas up with a look that said appearances can be deceiving.

Qin Fei: “……”

Pinching Lolo’s soft cheek, Qin Fei found it pleasing to the touch and said, “Thomas was entrusted by Daimon to help his sister celebrate her birthday, don’t overthink it… But, did you mess with my laptop again while I was gone yesterday?”

Lolo shifted her gaze guiltily.

Qin Fei suddenly recalled that in many films in Sakura Nation, the relationships between characters were often tangled.

He regretted teaching Lolo to use the computer.
