On the first page, the experienced Dog Brother decided to play a trick with bullet time, noticing that the punch aimed at him lacked power. He didn't dodge and charged straight forward with a fist.

In the moment of impact between their arms, Xiao Weiguo suddenly used his spatial intent to strike forcefully. With a crunch, Dog Brother's arm broke, and without pause, Xiao Weiguo hammered his fist into Dog Brother's chest, finally stopping.

Dog Brother flew backward, blood spraying from his mouth, landing two meters away before collapsing and losing consciousness.

The three henchmen behind him, witnessing their boss's defeat in one move, stood frozen in shock and began to slowly retreat, their faces pale with fear.

It's important to note that Dog Brother was someone who could take on three people at once, yet against this young man, he was sent flying with a single blow.

The display of power was terrifying.

Xiao Weiguo stared at his fist in disbelief, astonished at its strength. He realized he needed to be cautious with such power; it should only be used against bad people, otherwise, it was best to refrain. The destructive force was simply too great.

He turned to the three and commanded, "Get lost! And take him away." Pointing at the bleeding Dog Brother, he added.

The three quickly circled around Xiao Weiguo, lifted Dog Brother, and ran off into the distance.

It seemed he needed to remain cautious in the future; thankfully, he had worn a ragged hat and scarf the entire time, concealing his identity.

Xiao Weiguo collected his thoughts, still shaken, and headed toward the center of town.

He decided to visit a breakfast shop to calm his nerves.

"Hey, boss, two fried dough sticks, two fried pancakes, a bowl of soy milk, and a serving of pickled vegetables," Xiao Weiguo ordered the shop owner, feeling his lips parched from the shock of what had just happened.

He handed over the appropriate money and food coupons, then received his breakfast and began to eat ravenously.

After finishing his meal and just as he was about to leave, he ran into Lu Dayou, the fishmonger from town, who had come to buy breakfast.

"Hey, little brother, long time no see! You haven't been around to sell fish lately. The price is still 1.3 yuan; bring any fish you have," Lu Dayou said to Xiao Weiguo.

"I've been busy with the team lately, so I haven't had time to catch fish. Besides, aren't they restricting fishing now? I won't be fishing anymore, uncle," Xiao Weiguo replied.

"That's such a pity. I was hoping to give you a tip if you were still fishing," Lu Dayou sighed dramatically.

"What tip?" Xiao Weiguo asked, clearly intrigued.

"How about the opportunity to enter the city? It's for good factories and good positions, things that others would pay hundreds for but can't get," Lu Dayou said, sounding mysterious.

"That sounds incredibly interesting! Uncle, please tell me more," Xiao Weiguo urged, then turned to the breakfast shop owner, saying, "I'll pay for this uncle's meal."

"Oh, you don't have to do that, little brother. I’ll have five fried dough sticks, three fried pancakes, and a bowl of red bean porridge," Lu Dayou said, both embarrassed and ordering a large amount.

"Come on, little brother, let's eat and chat," Xiao Weiguo said, sitting beside Lu Dayou to hear more.

"Do you know the First Textile Factory in Four Nine City? They've been hiring a lot recently, specifically for frontline female workers. I heard that passing by their recruitment office, the scent just draws you in," Lu Dayou said animatedly.

"I know the First Textile Factory, but they only hire frontline female workers. They wouldn't be interested in a young man like me," Xiao Weiguo said, puzzled.

"Just listen! With so many employees, there’s bound to be a shortage of supplies. No beating around the bush; the procurement heads from the textile factory are currently stationed at the supply and marketing cooperative, blocking supplies in batches. I heard that anyone who meets their material requirements can get into the procurement department as a temporary worker. So, what do you think of that opportunity?" Lu Dayou continued to share the news, then bent down to continue eating breakfast.

"But uncle, isn't it now about collectivization? Aren't private fishing and hunting prohibited? It has to be organized by the commune or the team; won't there be risks involved?" Xiao Weiguo asked, filled with doubts.

"Are you silly? It’s all about supplies now. If you have the supplies, who cares about the rest? Besides, you're selling to the public, so it doesn't affect anything," Lu Dayou explained.

"Then uncle, what does the leader at the supply and marketing cooperative look like? When are they there?" Xiao Weiguo pressed for more information. "Also, are the supplies just fish, or do they need other things, like grain?"

"If you can get other items, like pork, they would definitely take that. But grain is not needed now; what we lack is meat. Haven't you seen the news? In some places, the yield per acre has already surpassed ten thousand pounds. Soon, there won’t be a grain shortage. Focus on catching your fish and see if you can impress the procurement leader to secure a temporary position; that’s the main point. That leader has been around these days and dresses quite impressively; you'll recognize them when you see them," Lu Dayou answered.

"Thanks, uncle, I’ll head over to check it out," Xiao Weiguo finally replied.

After Xiao Weiguo left, someone at the adjacent table turned to Lu Dayou and said, "Old Lu, you tell every young person you meet about this opportunity, but in the past two weeks, those young folks haven't met the leader's requirements. Do you think this young man will?"

"Who knows? I’m just bored. There are so few people selling fish these days that I’m practically idle all the time. It's just a way to pass the time. Besides, if someone really does take my advice and gets in, it's a chance to meet people from the city. My son can't spend his whole life stuck in this town; I could become someone important and request a job opportunity for him, right? Four Nine City is great; he needs to go there," Lu Dayou replied.

"Right now, the steel mill, lumber factory, coal mine, and processing plants are all hiring workers. Why not let your son give it a try?" someone at the table chimed in.

"If he goes, he would just suffer; those are all hard labor temporary jobs. Besides, who would want to work those jobs other than people desperate for money?"

"And see, this was just a way to earn breakfast, haha!" Lu Dayou said cheerfully.

On his way to the supply and marketing cooperative, Xiao Weiguo pondered Lu Dayou's motives, but after a while, he couldn't come to any conclusions. Regardless, it was good for him, as this opportunity to enter the city had come to him.

With his spatial abilities, Xiao Weiguo felt he had a significant chance.

Thus, sometimes, one needs to get out and about; that way, unexpected opportunities can present themselves.

It’s far better than sitting at home complaining about why the heavens don't give one a chance.

Sometimes, the principles of success in life are that simple.

As Xiao Weiguo approached the supply and marketing cooperative, he noticed a young man in a Zhongshan suit standing at the entrance, looking sharp, probably in his twenties. Xiao Weiguo remembered that this was the person who had given him directions the first time he visited the cooperative.
