Chapter 22: So, it was you two rascals behind this all along!
"My God!"
"You actually took down all these people by yourself!"
"You are just too amazing!"
Li Zhi stared at Chen Hao, her bright eyes wide with disbelief as she watched him subdue the entire gang of thugs in such a short time. Her eyes sparkled with a mix of astonishment and admiration.
Chen Hao stood there, lifting his own hands and looking at them in surprise. Honestly, he had not expected to be this formidable, taking down so many gangsters in one go. In his previous life, he had focused on wellness, practicing Baduanjin and Tai Chi, which gave him a deep understanding of human pressure points. However, those were merely health-oriented practices with no real combat utility.
This time, he had mostly used moves from Baduanjin and Tai Chi. The difference was that he had accelerated his speed and specifically targeted the pain and paralysis points of his opponents. Because his knowledge of these anatomical points was incredibly precise, every strike landed exactly where he intended. Once an opponent was hit in a pain or paralysis point, they would collapse to the ground—either writhing in agony or unable to move, rendered completely helpless.
Typically, striking these points with a bare fist requires immense force to be effective. In his past life, Chen Hao had tried fighting this way, but the results were mediocre. Now, however, he was stunned to find that his striking power was immense, making his attacks against these pressure points devastatingly effective; he could take down one person with a single blow. Furthermore, he discovered that his reflexes were exceptionally sharp, making it impossible for the thugs to land a hit on him. That was how he had managed to dispose of them so easily.
He suspected that his newfound strength and agility were connected to his rebirth. It seemed this second chance at life had brought him quite a few surprises.
"Who sent you here to deal with us?" Chen Hao asked, stepping on the head of the thug leader, Yuan Weicheng.
"It... it was... Zou Guanchang!" Yuan Weicheng, lacking any backbone or code of honor, immediately betrayed his employer.
"Zou Guanchang? Who is that?" Chen Hao frowned slightly and looked at Li Zhi.
"He's Lin Muhua's boyfriend! We ran into him at the shopping mall earlier. It seems Lin Muhua must have asked him to hire people to come after us," Li Zhi explained.
"So it was him." Chen Hao’s expression darkened. He had previously used a small trick to make Lin Muhua wet herself in public. Her boyfriend had threatened him at the time, vowing, "I will certainly not let this matter go!" He hadn't expected the boyfriend to move so quickly to retaliate.
He scanned the surroundings. Perhaps Lin Muhua and her boyfriend were nearby, watching from the shadows, eager to see them get beaten up by the thugs. Sure enough, he spotted a suspicious vehicle and sprinted toward it.
"Oh no! That guy spotted us! Drive, quick!" Lin Muhua shrieked, her face pale as she urged Zou Guanchang to flee.
Zou Guanchang was shocked that Chen Hao had discovered them. Panicked, he fumbled to start the engine. The more nervous he became, the clumsier his movements, and despite his efforts, the car wouldn't start.
"Hurry up! He's almost here!" Lin Muhua cried out in desperation.
"Shut up!" Zou Guanchang was even more anxious. He had just witnessed Chen Hao effortlessly dismantle the gang, and he knew that if he were caught, he would be beaten to a pulp. After frantic attempts, the engine finally roared to life. He slammed his foot on the gas, but in his haste to escape, he lost track of the road and crashed the car into a traffic island. The engine stalled, and no matter how he tried, it refused to restart.
"Damn it! The car's broken down! Get out!" Zou Guanchang shouted, bolting from the car. Lin Muhua followed suit, but Chen Hao had already caught up.
"So it really was you two behind this!" Chen Hao lunged forward, kicking Zou Guanchang to the ground. He then unleashed a flurry of punches. He was extremely methodical, striking only the pressure points that induced intense pain and paralysis, leaving Zou Guanchang writhing and screaming in agony. He struck with careful precision, ensuring he caused maximum suffering without leaving any visible external injuries.
Having dealt with Zou Guanchang, he turned his gaze toward Lin Muhua. She had abandoned her boyfriend and was running for her life, but Chen Hao was faster and quickly overtook her.
"Big brother, please, spare me! I won't ever do it again! If you let me go, I'll let you sleep with me! You can do whatever you want!" Lin Muhua begged, her face drained of color.
"Hmph! Who would want to sleep with you?" Chen Hao sneered. Even though Lin Muhua was attractive, he had no interest in such a venomous, snake-hearted woman. He felt no pity for her. This woman was not only intensely jealous but also malicious enough to hire thugs to attack them. He wasn't about to let her off so easily.
He gave her the same treatment, targeting her pain and paralysis points until she was screaming like a slaughtered pig. Yet, he remained precise; despite her agonizing cries, she remained free of bruises or wounds. Even if she wanted to go to the police, there would be no evidence. Furthermore, since she and Zou Guanchang had hired thugs, they were far too guilty to dare involve the authorities.
Chen Hao did not yet have legal status in Hong Kong and preferred to avoid unnecessary trouble. By choosing to strike only the pressure points, he ensured that he left no traces behind.
