Chapter 1: Only the Strong Have a Say
The familiar surroundings before him left Tang Xuan in disbelief.
He was actually in a luxury hotel room somewhere on Earth.
"A century ago, I crossed the Heavenly Gate to become the Supreme Sovereign of the Immortal Realm. Why have I inexplicably returned to Earth?"
"Could it be because my prominence in the Immortal Realm was too great, drawing the envy and malice of treacherous schemers?"
To find out what had happened, he had to return to the Immortal Realm.
However, his divine sense was currently possessing a body named Tang Shiliu. With such a weak physical vessel, returning to the Immortal Realm was practically impossible.
Just then, Tang Xuan noticed the date on the digital wall clock, and his heart trembled.
The time was actually three days before his own birth!
The good news was that he would eventually be able to return to his original body.
The bad news was that he would have to wait for himself to slowly grow up.
Suddenly, Tang Xuan felt a surge of excitement.
When he was ten years old, his father had been beaten to death, and his mother had been abducted by a powerful figure to serve as a captive plaything.
In his past life, though he had slaughtered his enemies' entire clans to avenge his parents, he could never bring them back to life.
Now, he possessed the power to prevent this tragedy.
"Tang Shiliu, come back with me. I will let you become the eldest young master of the Tang family again."
"If your younger brother hadn't fallen into a vegetative state, you would never have had such an opportunity."
The memories of this body began to flood into Tang Xuan's divine sense.
The woman before him was named Huang Fei, his mother.
Twelve years ago, she had personally abandoned Tang Shiliu.
That night, he had knelt in the direction his mother had departed, begging over and over again, yet she had never looked back.
Poor wretch, harboring immense hatred but possessing no power to seek vengeance.
Since that is the case, I shall avenge you. Consider it payment for borrowing your body.
"Twelve years ago, you threw him away like a stray dog."
"Now that the Tang family has no heir, you suddenly remember him. Are you even worthy?"
Huang Fei sneered coldly.
"You are a martial arts waste. I can treat you however I want. Do you even have a choice?"
"I am offering you a chance to enjoy wealth and glory. Do you dare refuse?"
Huang Fei was highly confident, for she knew this coward's life had been miserable.
No one but her could change the destiny of this useless trash.
Tang Xuan sneered, "What makes you think you are in a position to control another's destiny?"
Huang Fei smiled mockingly.
"I might not say so for others, but as for you, what do I have to worry about?"
"A waste like you isn't even worth my personal presence. My coming here is already giving you immense face."
Tang Xuan raised an eyebrow. "So, I should be deeply grateful to you?"
Huang Fei took it for granted.
"You may kneel and thank me. I can well afford to receive it."
Tang Xuan laughed out of sheer fury.
"A mere ant dares to demand that this venerable one kneel?"
"This venerable one?"
"Hahaha..."
Huang Fei laughed unrestrainedly.
"A Shunzi, calling himself 'this venerable one'? Do you actually think you're some peerless powerhouse?"
A "Shunzi" was a general term for those who could not cultivate martial arts, synonymous with a useless waste.
In this world where martial arts reigned supreme, the strong ruled.
The reason Huang Fei had abandoned him back then was precisely because a martial appraiser had declared him to be a Shunzi.
Tang Xuan prepared to teach this vicious woman a lesson, to let her know the consequences of her loose tongue.
Suddenly, a figure materialized in front of Tang Xuan.
Tang Xuan felt a massive force strike his chest.
He was instantly launched into the air, crashing hard against the wall.
Only after collapsing to the floor did Tang Xuan see an elderly man standing in front of Huang Fei.
The old man kept his eyes closed, a mocking smile playing on the corners of his lips.
"Even I dare not call myself a venerable one. A piece of trash like you dares to speak so arrogantly?"
"Old dog, give me just one day, and I will ensure you die without a grave."
Tang Xuan had not yet adapted to this body; he had no way to unleash his power.
The old man said disdainfully, "When this old man appraised you as a Shunzi back then, it was destined that you could never become a martial cultivator in this lifetime."
"Let alone one day, what could you possibly do in a year, or even ten?"
Throughout his century in the Immortal Realm, Tang Xuan had never suffered such humiliation.
Huang Fei walked over to Tang Xuan and stepped on his head with her high heel.
Tang Xuan roared in anger, "Take your foot off me!"
Huang Fei sneered contemptuously and ground her heel hard into Tang Xuan's head.
"It's been twelve years. Have you still not understood this world? Only the strong have a voice."
"If you were strong, what would it matter if I knelt to you? But you are just a Shunzi."
"You are trash, trash, do you understand?"
Tang Xuan felt a deep, suffocating frustration.
Had this body not been so weak, how could he have suffered such humiliation?
Time. He needed time right now.
Not too much—a single night would suffice!
Though he could not restore his power to its peak, it would be more than enough to deal with this old man.
Huang Fei continued, "Twelve years ago you were a stray dog, and now you are nothing but a puppet."
"Don't think you have any great value. You are destined to live a lowly, pathetic life."
Tang Xuan grit his teeth and said, "Soon, you will regret this. I will make you kneel before me and repent!"
"Hahaha..."
"Fool. I know you're not convinced, but I will make you willingly serve as my pawn."
Huang Fei looked at the old man.
"Elder Qin, throw him out."
Elder Qin opened his eyes, looking at Tang Xuan with cold indifference.
"Get out yourself. You are not worthy of my effort."
Tang Xuan stood up and left the room.
Huang Fei asked Elder Qin, "Elder Qin, there won't be any miracles with him, will there?"
Elder Qin smiled. "Of course not. A Shunzi is destined to remain a Shunzi for life."
The slight worry in Huang Fei's heart instantly vanished.
"Poor wretch. Abandoned by me twelve years ago, and twelve years later, you still have to be my puppet."
Tang Xuan did not leave the hotel; instead, he booked a room for himself.
His divine sense possessed infinite power, but this body's capacity was far too lacking.
It was like having a massive bank account that he could only look at but not access.
Tang Xuan needed to test the body's limits step by step.
From day to night, and then until the sun hung high in the sky.
"Sigh, it seems this body can currently only withstand the power of the Zhen Thunder Realm."
Tang Xuan raised his arm. His skin was webbed with countless cracks, looking as if it might burst open at any moment.
The six major realms of martial arts consisted of: the entry-level Li Fire Realm, the minor Kan Water Realm, the intermediate Xun Wind Realm, the major Zhen Thunder Realm, the peak Di Kun Realm, and the legendary, demigod-like Tian Qian Realm.
Tang Xuan had spent the entire night carefully testing his limits, but he had failed to break through the Zhen Thunder Realm.
"I wonder when I'll be able to return to my own body."
At this thought, Tang Xuan immediately left the hotel.
He had not seen his parents for over a century. His burning anticipation climbed to its limit, causing him to temporarily forget about seeking revenge on Huang Fei.
Tang Xuan rushed back to that familiar residential area at his absolute top speed.
He knocked on the door, but no one was home.
Tang Xuan then ran through every hospital in Jiang City, yet he still found nothing.
Finally, at the old Tang family residence, Tang Xuan saw his parents kneeling before a crowd of Tang family relatives.
"Was having one waste like you in the Tang family not enough? You actually had to give birth to another little waste!"
