Chapter Twenty-Six: The Fan Forum Opens

After a day, the fan site was ready.

Built by a top-tier hacker, the site was anything but ordinary.

It was divided into several smaller forums.

The first forum was devoted to the White-Eyed Hero’s deeds. In it were gathered all the feats attributed to him. The first was the killing of Ma Guosheng, a member of a violent demolition gang. The second was the execution of Lu Youwei, who made his living as a loan shark and forced decent women into prostitution. The third was the slaying of Li Jinguo and the other traffickers. The fourth was the killing of the two juvenile murderers who had slain their master. The fifth was the battle with the old beggar. Very little was written about this fight, because the old beggar was too mysterious and known to too few. Du Li had hacked the police system and obtained some information, which said that this old beggar was an exceptionally rare expert. The sixth was the incursion into the southern city to kill Qin Yan, the spoiled son of a wealthy family. The seventh was the death of Lei Dian, the King of Electricity, Yang Feikuang, a sadist.

Each case was presented with text and images for visitors to enjoy.

Naturally, small-time bullies like Lu Daqi, whom Shen Ye had quietly eliminated, were not even known by the police to have been killed by the White-Eyed Hero, so Du Li did not include them.

The second forum was called the White-Eyed Hero Fan Nest, a place for everyone to chat and kill time.

A female ID named July Snow was the first to rush in: "Haha, first post in the forum. I’m the White-Eyed Hero’s very first fan."

At once, another ID, Tiny Little Cloud and Rain, charged into the Fan Nest: "Ah, my first forum post was stolen. I’m the White-Eyed Hero’s very first fan."

This Tiny Little Cloud and Rain was in fact Lin Xiaolei. She had already returned to First High School in County N and was attending classes normally.

Earlier, Du Li had announced that the forum would open at noon that day.

Du Li laughed. "Just kidding. Being the forum administrator is enough for me."

July Snow seized the opening. "Site owner, isn’t it a little too little for just one administrator? How about giving me admin privileges too?"

Du Li was in high spirits. "All right, I’ll make you a section moderator."

Lin Xiaolei was usually rather shy, but now she also summoned her courage and said, "Site owner, I want a moderator position too."

"So this is the website Red and Black Interlaced was talking about. It’s made beautifully. But site owner, you have to make sure this place never goes down. We White-Eyed Hero fans need a nest to gather in too," said an ID called Gentle One-Slash. This Gentle One-Slash was in fact Wen Xiuting. Back then, she had been seized by Lu Youwei’s men and nearly forced into serving clients.

Fortunately, the White-Eyed Hero had saved her.

Of course she knew that Shen Ye was the White-Eyed Hero, and for that reason she had developed a very special feeling toward him. Hearing that the White-Eyed Hero’s dedicated website was going live that day, she kept refreshing with her phone. At last, the site opened.

"You can trust my technical skills," Du Li said cheerfully.

"Is this the gathering place for White-Eyed Hero fans? I have to thank the White-Eyed Hero too. If he hadn’t killed Ma Guosheng, most of our demolition compensation would probably have ended up in Ma Guosheng’s hands," said an ID called Dragon Resenting Heaven. He was actually a young man from a household in Shuimen Alley. He had once been a devoted fan of Jay Chou, but now he believed the White-Eyed Hero was even cooler and more handsome.

"The White-Eyed Hero saved me. Of course his fans have one more member in me," said an ID named Little Wei. He was the same Little Wei from the internet addiction rehab center.

How deep was his hatred for Yang Feikuang, the King of Electricity?

That deep was his reverence for the White-Eyed Hero.

"Brother Little Wei, you’re here too? I’m Little Zuo from the rehab center," said an ID called Number One Handsome in Dancing.

"Little Zuo, you came too," Little Wei replied.

"I have every right to be here. All of us were saved by the White-Eyed Hero," Number One Handsome in Dancing said. "Damn it, just thinking about those days in the rehab center is like reliving the most miserable, most agonizing nightmare of my life."

"Exactly."

"I’m a die-hard White-Eyed Hero fan too, and I’m here to support him," said an ID called No Gate in Heaven, No Ring on Earth. This person also had a bit of a reputation on the Seaside Forum. Back when Shen Ye killed Qin Yan, Qin the Young Master, there had been an argument, and a small number of saints and do-gooders claimed Qin Yan should not have been killed.

And more and more fans poured into the forum.

Its introduction read: "Here you can share any bullies you know about, from any walk of life, as long as you have specific examples. Perhaps the White-Eyed Hero will see our website and use the information we provide to kill all kinds of bullies."

This section also drew a great deal of traffic.

People kept posting about every sort of bully they had encountered or knew about in concrete detail.

The forum swelled with visitors and grew ever livelier.
