Chen Xuewen watched the two men warily as he bent down to pick up his shoes.

Earlier, one of the bodyguards had grabbed his leg and pulled off his shoes.

Holding the shoes, Chen took a few steps back and bent down, preparing to put them on.

Seizing the opportunity, the two bodyguards charged at him together, brandishing their long knives and swinging them toward Chen.

Just as they were about to reach him, Chen suddenly straightened up.

Instead of putting on his shoes, he tore off his socks and waved them at the two bodyguards.

Earlier, he had stuffed a plastic bag filled with lime powder inside the socks.

Pretending to put on his shoes was a ruse to remove the bag and prepare the lime.

At the same time, this was meant to lure the two bodyguards closer.

They cooperated perfectly, rushing toward him without hesitation.

With a swift motion, Chen swung the sock; the plastic bag inside, already torn, burst open, scattering lime powder into the air.

A white cloud erupted before the bodyguards’ eyes, and they immediately sensed something was wrong.

But by then, it was too late to retreat.

They desperately brandished their long knives to fend Chen off while hastily raising their hands to wipe the lime from their faces.

Chen gritted his teeth and charged forward, undeterred by the pain.

One knife slashed his jacket, tearing a large gash in the leather.

The other struck his shoulder, and if not for the thick cowhide underneath, it might have severed his arm.

Despite the injury, the leather was pierced, leaving a deep wound.

Ignoring the pain, Chen plunged both bone-cutting knives into the necks of the two bodyguards, cutting through their throats with brutal force.

They collapsed in a pool of blood.

Chen withdrew the knife from his shoulder, took a deep breath, and turned to look at Zhou Wancheng and Zhou Hao, who were frozen with terror in the distance, his eyes flashing with fierce light.

“Now, it’s your turn,” he said deliberately, each word heavy with menace.

Zhou Wancheng and Zhou Hao were utterly terrified.

They never imagined Chen Xuewen alone could take down all fifteen bodyguards.

Though Chen’s methods were ruthless and underhanded, they had to admit they were effective.

The two exchanged nervous glances and turned to flee.

But Li Eryong and Wu Lihong seized the chance to block their path desperately.

Chen grasped the bone-cutting knives and strode straight toward them.

Zhou Wancheng hurriedly said, “Young man, listen to me, actually—”

Before he could finish, Chen struck, stabbing a knife deep into his cheek.

Blood flowed from his mouth as he screamed in agony.

Chen struck again, slicing Zhou Wancheng’s neck, who collapsed into a bloody pool, convulsing silently.

On the other side, Zhou Hao, witnessing his father’s grisly death, trembled uncontrollably.

Seeing Chen turn his gaze upon him, Zhou Hao collapsed to his knees with a thud, trembling as he begged, “Brother Wen, Brother Wen, I know I was wrong, I really do.”

“I’m sorry, I... I’ll kowtow to you, please spare my life, spare my life!”

He knelt, banging his head on the ground repeatedly until it was covered in blood.

Chen said nothing, crouching slowly before him, his eyes cold and merciless like a beast’s.

Terrified by Chen’s savage gaze, Zhou Hao stammered, “Brother Wen, please spare me. I’ll clear your name.”

“I can give you money, any amount you want.”

“My father is dead, and I control the family’s wealth. Whatever you ask, I’ll give it to you.”

“Just spare my life. I’ll obey whatever you say...”

Chen remained silent, slowly raising the bone-cutting knife.

Seeing Chen ready to strike, Zhou Hao panicked, trembling uncontrollably, “Brother Wen, I’m telling the truth.”

“Upstairs is a safe. If you don’t believe me, I’ll open it now and give you all the money inside.”

“Besides, if you kill me, you won’t survive either. The law enforcement team will never let you live.”

Chen’s voice was icy as he said, “Do you think I’m afraid to die?”
