Siyan sat in a wicker chair in the back garden, watching the little darling watering the herbs in front of him.

Su Yu loved tending to these plants, so Siyan had replicated an identical herb garden for her.

“Master, Li Hanye stayed overnight at the Huidun Hotel last night. Our men have already sold the goods he grabbed,” Huang Yu spoke quietly nearby, holding a tracking screen and handing it to Siyan.

“Master, should we go now…” He made a throat-slitting gesture.

Siyan shook his head. He wanted to see if the little darling had truly learned her lesson. If your Han Yan brother came, would you go with him?

Recently, the little darling had indeed been much more obedient—no mischief, no desperate attempts to escape the castle, nor any schemes to trick him into leaving.

She had been quietly well-behaved, which both reassured and puzzled Siyan.

Darling, what grand plan are you hiding?

Nearby, Su Yu, watering the plants, looked up at the towering iron fence dozens of meters high, with electric wires running through it.

She was on the verge of tears—the kind of fence meant for imprisoning criminals was now used to trap her.

Seeing Su Yu lost in thought, Siyan embraced her from behind.

“What are you thinking about, darling?” His deep, magnetic voice whispered in her ear.

But the girl in his arms still resisted his hug, twisting in displeasure.

“Don’t move.”

“Darling, your husband’s going out. Stay home and behave!” Siyan lifted her chin, then bit her lips hard enough to leave a mark before pulling away.

He gave her a meaningful glance. Darling, don’t let me down!

After leaving the castle, Siyan withdrew most of the mercenaries guarding inside and outside, leaving only a few at the gates.

Naturally, Su Yu sensed something was amiss, but she assumed there was another major issue in Siyan’s family.

They had pulled back guards twice before, and Siyan hadn’t returned for days.

Each time, she managed to sneak out but was caught and brought back.

This time, she didn’t act rashly. Even without mercenaries inside, outside the castle there were surveillance drones scanning for her and rabid dogs chasing her.

If that pervert caught her again, she would suffer terribly. After so many failures, she had grown wiser.

Su Yu threw down the watering can, grabbed scissors, and squatted to trim the herbs.

In the castle attic, Siyan watched Su Yu on the monitor, a faint, indifferent smile curving his lips.

The little darling was more patient than before; previously, she had run out the moment he left.

In the herb garden…

Su Yu raised her eyes to the surrounding iron fence, wondering if the scissors could cut through it.

She had to try. She had already discovered that the southwest corner of the back garden was a blind spot for the cameras.

She played obedient by day and snipped at the wires by night.

Once resolved, Su Yu stood up from the herb garden, her skirt stained with dirt.

She went back to her room, took a shower, and curled up on the sofa to watch TV.

No hateful eyes watching her; she could watch as long as she liked.

Eventually, she dozed off.

At the monitor, Huang Yu observed the unusual behavior of Miss Su and wondered aloud, “Master, has the lady finally accepted you?”

“Since she can’t escape my grasp anyway, she’s just giving up.” The man’s fingers held a cigar, the crimson ember flickering. A mysterious smile played on his lips as he exhaled softly.

“Giving up!”

Siyan didn’t believe it. Her resistance to his kisses and embraces was obvious proof she had never accepted him. It was just a ruse to make him lower his guard so she could slip away.

“Have someone cover her with a blanket—don’t let her catch a cold!”

Siyan glanced at Su Yu on the screen, facing the air conditioner. He couldn’t help but worry—she never took care of herself.

Elsewhere, Li Hanyan had pulled strings, spent money, and exerted effort to secure a vehicle.

When his men heard he planned to go to the castle, they tried to dissuade him from courting death. Not only were there mercenaries inside, but combat aircraft patrolled overhead.

Trying to rescue someone there was pure fantasy!

But Li Hanyan was determined, and they could not stop him.

The car was parked in the woods.

Li Hanyan stood on the hood, tall and sturdy as a pine.

One hand pressed on the roof for balance, the other holding binoculars. His sharp gaze was locked onto the dark silhouette of the castle in the distance.

The castle’s outline was especially grim in the night, with patrol lights tirelessly sweeping its perimeter.

It was very different from what he had imagined—only a handful of mercenaries patrolled.

And Su Yu?

Where is Yu’er…

In the attic, a sharp alarm sounded.

“Master, someone is approaching—the fish has arrived!” Huang Yu said, eyes fixed on the blinking red dot on his device.

“Not yet. Wait until the darling tries to follow that useless man, then catch her back.”

Siyan remained calm. None of them would escape.

He was already planning how to punish the little darling severely—lock her in the mirror room, scantily clad, nights filled with revelry.

…

Siyan stayed composed, and so did Li Hanyan.

He knew tonight was not the best time for a rescue. He needed to gather more information first.

He had to find the exact spot to bring Yu’er out; the main gate was definitely impossible.

The entire perimeter was sealed with fences…

Both men remained patient, but Su Yu could not.

She took scissors and labored at the southwest fence in the garden, hacking and snipping.

It took her ages to cut through one wire.

She really had to hand it to the fence—it was even thicker than her third aunt’s ankle!

Her hands bled from the effort, barely creating a small hole.

One hole was not enough for her to escape.

She had no more strength.

But it didn’t matter—she had no intention of running just yet.

Su Yu gathered the cut wires back together, making it look intact, then returned with her makeshift weapon.

Above in the attic, Siyan observed her little moves with perfect clarity.

“Master, I’ll reinforce the fence immediately!” Huang Yu was stunned. That fence had been fortified, yet Miss Su had strong enough hands to cut a hole.

Also, he retracted his earlier comment about her acceptance—it was all an act.

“No need. Leave it as is.”

Siyan stopped him. Her efforts tonight were wasted.

Judging by how she cut, it might take her over half a month to carve out a big enough hole to escape.

He couldn’t wait that long. Just one night without holding his darling close made him itch with desire.

He longed to smother her with fierce kisses and fierce love…

Su Yu felt no itchiness at all.

Not a bit.

Without Siyan holding her tightly as she slept, she felt utterly comfortable.

She was blissfully happy.

Lying in the big bed, she only wished these days could last longer.

Better yet, she hoped to escape successfully and sleep in her own home!
