Your sister has already chosen to be with me—are you still hesitating?
In the darkness, Wen Shuang was seized and kissed fiercely. She gasped in shock, instantly recognizing the familiar scent—it was Qin You!
Struggling with all her might, she broke free and bit him hard. The taste of iron flooded her mouth.
“Wen Shuang, how dare you bite me!” Qin You snarled, wiping his mouth viciously.
Blood stained Wen Shuang’s delicate lips. She wiped it away with the back of her hand, her voice sharp with anger. “Qin You, have you no shame? We’ve already broken up. If you keep harassing me, I’ll call the police!”
“If you do, your father will never see the light of day again,” he threatened.
Fury blazed in Wen Shuang’s beautiful eyes. “You’re disgusting! How did I ever fall for someone as utterly hypocritical as you?”
“Wen Shuang, you’d do well to be sensible. Your sister is with me now.” Qin You arched an eyebrow, a smirk twisting his lips. “She’s much more interesting than you, and she really knows how to scream in bed.”
“What?! You slept with Wen Yao too?”
“She was the one who offered herself last time. Not bad at all,” Qin You said, pride evident in his tone. “Now I’m just curious—what would it be like to sleep with the elder sister?”
When Wen Shuang was with him, she was as beautiful as a rose, a real prize to show off. The only downside was her refusal to let him touch her.
Wen Shuang’s hand shot out and slapped him hard.
The sound was crisp, and Qin You’s handsome face was jerked to the side. “Wen Shuang, are you insane?”
Though Wen Yao was merely her stepsister, the thought of her being used and debased by Qin You made Wen Shuang tremble with rage. “Qin You, you already have Xia Anran. Why must you torment the women of my family?”
“Wen Yao was willing from the start. I never forced her,” Qin You said, ignoring the sting on his cheek and spreading his hands. “She came to me herself, begging to be my mistress. In that regard, your sister is much more accommodating than you. Still, I’m more interested in you.”
After all, what one can’t have is always the most tempting.
Just looking at Qin You filled Wen Shuang with revulsion.
“Get out!”
Qin You, enraged, spat, “Fine, Wen Shuang! Just watch and see how your family is destroyed!”
After leaving Wen Shuang’s apartment, his phone was bombarded with messages from Wen Yao.
[Brother Qin, I miss you again. Are you free tonight?]
[Brother Qin, I’ve learned some new tricks lately. Want to try them?]
Qin You went to Wen Yao.
He seized her by the throat, but even as he took her, he couldn’t stop murmuring Wen Shuang’s name.
Hearing this, Wen Yao seethed with hatred, though she still moaned sweetly, “Brother Qin, I’m right here...”
Afterward, Qin You lit a cigarette.
Wen Yao wrapped herself around him from behind, her voice syrupy. “Brother Qin, did I please you?”
Qin You exhaled a lazy plume of smoke. “You did. How many men have you pleased before?”
“Oh, you’re terrible. You’re my first,” Wen Yao pouted, pounding his chest.
“Your so-called virginity was probably reconstructed at a hospital,” Qin You sneered, words sharp as blades. “The doctor did a lousy job. Next time, pick a better hospital.”
Wen Yao’s face turned deathly pale. “No, that’s not true… Brother Qin, you misunderstood me. You were my first. I’ve kept myself pure for years, just for you.”
Qin You had bedded enough women to know the difference. He gave a cold laugh, finished his cigarette, and made to leave, but Wen Yao clung to him.
“Let go. Or this is the end of us,” Qin You said coldly. The only thing he found interesting about Wen Yao was her body. The fact that she shared blood with Wen Shuang made it all the more thrilling—almost like having Wen Shuang by proxy.
“Are you going to my sister? Or to Anran?”
“That’s none of your business.”
After he left, Wen Yao punched the bed in frustration. Damn it! She’d followed her mother’s advice and finally gotten Qin You into bed, so why did he still have eyes only for that wretched Wen Shuang?
When Qin You got home, Xia Anran greeted him, barely clothed and pressing her soft body against his, clearly wanting more.
But Qin You, drained from his recent trysts with Wen Yao and worn out from a two-hour session earlier, had no energy left for her.
“I’m tired, Anran. Let’s just get a good night’s sleep,” he murmured.
Xia Anran pouted angrily. “Brother Qin, ever since our engagement, we’ve hardly been together. Are you not interested in me anymore?”
Qin You soothed her with a long kiss. “How could I not want my little princess? I’m just exhausted from work. Be good—tomorrow I’ll make it up to you.”
Only then did Xia Anran snuggle against his chest.
Yet she caught the faint scent of another woman on him.
Damn it! It must be that wretched Wen Shuang seducing him again!
…
Monday, there were miraculously no classes.
Wen Shuang went to the detention center. Her father had aged noticeably over the past two weeks; his hair was streaked with white.
“Xiao Shuang, you’ve lost so much weight!” he exclaimed.
“I’m fine, Dad,” Wen Shuang choked softly. “Don’t worry, I’ve already contacted a lawyer. I’ll get you out as soon as possible.”
Her father’s eyes reddened. “You have to take care of yourself, too!”
He asked about the family, but Wen Shuang didn’t mention that she’d moved out, nor did she say that Aunt Chun and Wen Yao kept their distance. She glossed over it.
As she left the detention center, she spotted Ji Shen not far away, just stepping out of a police car and speaking with a strikingly elegant woman.
He stood in the sunlight, impeccably dressed, exuding vigor and confidence. Every time Wen Shuang saw Ji Shen in uniform, he reminded her of a wolf in gentleman’s clothing—dangerous, mature, and irresistibly alluring.
She thought to herself, even if she had no favors to ask of Ji Shen, he was the kind of man she’d want to conquer and claim for herself.
The beautiful woman clearly had her eye on Ji Shen as well. As they spoke, she touched his sleeve.
“Officer Ji, thank you for your help this time. If not for you, my husband would have cheated for sure. Would you care to join me for a meal?”
Ji Shen declined politely. “Thank you, Mrs. Ye, but I have other matters to attend to.”
He turned and spotted Wen Shuang at the entrance.
She was conservatively dressed today, her figure swathed from head to toe in business attire. Still, her curves were impossible to hide—graceful, full, and enticing, making one want to see beyond the surface.
But as for what lay beneath—he’d already seen it, after all.
“Teacher Wen,” Ji Shen greeted her as he approached. “No classes today?”
“None this afternoon. I came to see my father.” Wen Shuang’s eyes were still tinged with red—clearly, she’d cried inside.
Mrs. Ye, sensing the unspoken intimacy between them, realized Officer Ji was not interested in her and took her leave.
“I just happen to be heading back to the city. Shall I give you a ride?” Ji Shen offered.
Memories of the last time in the police car made Wen Shuang instinctively wary. “That’s all right, Officer Ji. I’d rather not sit up front like a suspect again.”
A faint smile played at Ji Shen’s lips.
He pulled out his car keys. “Don’t worry, I’ll let you try a different ride this time.”
