Cao Yanling was certainly no match for Cheng Weiyi. Lin Yang freed one hand, pulled her behind him, and then, with a casual gesture, plucked a popcorn kernel from the bucket and flicked it with his finger.

The popcorn shot out, striking Cheng Weiyi’s face with a sharp crack.

Cheng Weiyi cried out in pain, clutching his face.

"Pathetic," Lin Yang remarked.

Humiliated in front of the crowd, Cheng Weiyi could not withstand even a single popcorn kernel. He ignored the pain and attacked again.

Lin Yang flicked another kernel, this time hitting Cheng Weiyi’s knee.

Cheng Weiyi dropped to one knee, and then a third kernel struck his other knee.

He ended up kneeling before Lin Yang, both knees throbbing so fiercely that he could not stand.

"If you can’t win, you can’t win. I won’t kill you. There’s no need for such a grand gesture," Lin Yang said.

"Scoundrel!" Cheng Weiyi roared, as the nearby woman hurried to help him.

"Get away!" Cheng Weiyi shoved her aside and rose slowly, finally realizing that the man before him was a master, far superior to himself.

"You dare humiliate me in public! You’re dead. I won’t let this go!" Cheng Weiyi spat through clenched teeth.

Lin Yang reached for another popcorn kernel, which startled Cheng Weiyi so much that he retreated in alarm.

Lin Yang did not attack again, but tossed the kernel into his mouth.

"Still here? Want me to reward you with a few more kernels?" Lin Yang said calmly.

Cheng Weiyi’s face was ashen. He left a harsh warning: "If you have the guts, don’t leave!"

He slunk away, and the crowd began to whisper.

"Cheng Master’s son actually got beaten?"

"Who is this guy? He’s so bold! Offending a master is certain death!"

Everyone’s eyes were on Lin Yang.

"Let’s go. The movie’s about to start," Lin Yang said to Cao Yanling.

"Mr. Lin, maybe we shouldn’t stay. Cheng Weiyi won’t let this go, and if Cheng Master comes in person, what should we do?" Cao Yanling looked worried.

"Let him come. I’m not afraid," Lin Yang replied.

Cheng Kuo was a fifth-rank master. Though his rank was higher than Lin Yang’s, Lin Yang felt no fear.

He possessed the power of heterochromatic pupils, the Dragon Elephant Shakes Heaven technique, and the Three Thousand Thunderbolt Forms. He was eager to spar with a fifth-rank master; it was an opportunity he’d welcome.

"Such arrogance."

"He doesn’t know his own limits, just showing off in front of beautiful women," scoffed some in the cinema.

The four great masters of Luo City were revered, their fame ingrained in people’s hearts. Though Lin Yang had gained some reputation in elite circles, he had not truly made a name for himself in Luo City.

"Mr. Lin, that’s a fifth-rank master. We should really leave," Cao Yanling insisted, not believing Lin Yang could defeat Cheng Kuo, and hurriedly pulled him out of the cinema.

"Mr. Lin, I’m really sorry. I never expected to run into Cheng Weiyi here and for things to turn so sour," Cao Yanling apologized quickly.

Lin Yang shook his head. "No matter."

"But you don’t need to worry. I’ll call my father and ask him to speak directly to Master Cheng. I believe Master Cheng will give him face," Cao Yanling said.

"Uh... really, that’s not necessary."

"This happened because of me. I can’t just ignore it." With that, Cao Yanling stepped aside to call Cao Keming and explain the situation.

"My father agreed. He’ll speak to Master Cheng himself," she said after hanging up.

"Alright, then. Since we’re not watching the movie, I’ll be heading out."

"Mr. Lin, I’ll invite you another day. I’m truly sorry about today," Cao Yanling said with heartfelt regret.

Lin Yang waved her off and drove away.

Cao Yanling returned to her car, displeased.

"Damn Cheng Weiyi, my first date with Mr. Lin ruined because of you. Infuriating!"

Not long after Lin Yang and Cao Yanling left, Cheng Weiyi returned to the cinema with reinforcements.

He brought along Cheng Kuo’s senior disciple, Yin Weixiong, eighth-rank postnatal.

"Coward! He actually ran!" Cheng Weiyi fumed, unable to find them.

"Don’t worry. As long as this kid is still in Luo City, he won’t escape," Yin Weixiong assured him.

Lin Yang did not return to Imperial Gardens, but went instead to the Qin family villa.

Qin Menong was not yet home, but Lin Yang noticed the sofa cushions had been replaced.

He lay on the sofa, unable to resist recalling his fierce battles with Qin Menong on it, and a wicked fire stirred within him.

"Mom, you’re home?"

Just then, Qin Yanran descended the stairs and saw Lin Yang lying on the sofa, startled.

"Blind fool, how did you get in here!"

Qin Yanran came down with nothing on. At first, she was alarmed to find a strange man in the house, but recognizing Lin Yang, the blind man, she relaxed, striding over with bold confidence.

Qin Yanran had inherited all of Qin Menong’s finest genes—delicate features, snowy white skin, tall and graceful, lush as water reeds, and her twin peaks were more magnificent than those of her peers.

Her figure was slender, especially her legs—long, straight, rounded, and supple, tempting one to lift them onto a shoulder and savor their touch.

Qin Yanran had practiced taekwondo diligently, giving her a perfectly toned body, with not an ounce of excess flesh, curves in all the right places.

"Blind fool, what are you staring at!"

She noticed Lin Yang’s unwavering gaze. His expression seemed off, not like that of a blind man.

"I would love to look, but thanks to you, I can’t see a thing. I wonder, Yanran, have you grown taller these two years? Has your chest grown bigger? How’s your development?"

Lin Yang continued his act, feigning blindness. Such a beautiful sight deserved admiration!

"My development is none of your business. Looks like you’re itching for a beating."

Qin Yanran clenched her fists, smirking coldly. "Since you left, I haven’t had anyone to use as a punching bag. Seeing you, you useless thing, makes my hands itch."

"I’m itching too," Lin Yang grinned.

"Today I’ll knock your teeth out," Qin Yanran declared, and launched a high kick straight at him, giving Lin Yang a full view and feast for the eyes.

Lin Yang did not fight back, only dodging in an exaggerated, awkward fashion.

"Hmm?"

Qin Yanran was surprised that this blind man could evade her attacks. She pressed on, unleashing a flurry of kicks at Lin Yang’s head.

Lin Yang dodged left and right, his eyes never idle.

Qin Yanran kicked again, and Lin Yang caught her ankle, pressing her leg onto his shoulder, the wicked fire within him blazing.

Qin Yanran realized something was wrong. Not only could Lin Yang dodge several of her attacks, but he was also clearly aroused, staring intently at her most private parts.

With her leg held aloft, unable to break free, she formed a claw with her hand and lunged for Lin Yang’s eyes.

Lin Yang caught her index and middle fingers between his own.

"You’re not blind—you can see!" Qin Yanran cried out in astonishment.
